Happy Hangover!

December 31, 2011

Well, if you’re going out tonight… and aren’t the sober cab, chances are you will have a hangover tomorrow.  Probably one you want to rid yourself of ASAP so you can get crackin’ on those resolutions, right?

I always crave greasy foods and an ice cold Coca-Cola when I’m hungover.  Or a bloody mary (a little hair of the dog always helps!).  But everyone is a little different, so to get you through New Year’s Day, I’ve compiled a quick list of the best hangover cures and breakfast spots around the Cities.

Happy New Years to everyone!  Stay safe, have fun, and let’s give 2012 a run for it’s money!

How to cure a hangover – this list is pretty comprehensive – I may or may not have tried each one of these.  All that seems to be missing is Pedialyte.  Trust me – the fraternity brothers at my beloved alma mater loved the little freezy pops for their healing powers and delicious fruity flavors 🙂

Top 8 Hangover Breakfasts in the Twin Cities – and really, the best part of hangover breakfast is that someone else is making it for you.  Word to the wise though, steer clear of Perkins.  To many families and elderly people who will not appreciate your mid-breakfast moan, “OMG, I love BACON!”

If you feel up to cooking, Huffington Post Canada’s got these recipes you can try.  Leave it to the Canadians.  They know what’s up. And that clip about exercise?  SO TRUE.  Some of my best runs have been with a horrible hangover.  Sweat it out, take a shower, and get on with your day!

And finally, if you just can’t get off the couch, order yourself a pizza and be happy you didn’t wake up with a tiger in the bathroom.
